TPBank, a Vietnamese bank holding over $6 billion in assets has just announced that it has done an groundbreaking deal with Ripple.

TPBank announced on Monday that RippleNet will permit customers to transfer money from Japan to Vietnam  in just a few minutes as opposed to the few hours it would normally take by ultilizing Ripple’s blockchain-based payments network, RippleNet.

The Asian megabank is also planning to support transfers from Korea in the future.

The good news just keeps on coming for Ripple.

Last month, Ripple shook hands on a deal with london-based financial giant Finastra.

Finastra are the third-largest financial services technology firm in the world and have an enormous banking network which includes 48 of the top 50 banks globally.
